GENerations of mourning, a Human-AI installation performed in Amsterdam in 2023, questions how sacred acts of remembrance can be embodied and passed on through generations (the title being polysemic - generations of people and computer “generations” of voices).



Combining autofiction, text-to-speech technology and human vocals, GENerations of Mourning creates a space for artificial congregation. It tests the limits of voice and consciousness as well as typical conceptions of the Sacred by merging digital, human and divine within one realm.
